Riverside self-catering cottage in Newton Stewart

Otter Cottage is a one bedroom self-catering cottage situated on the banks of the River Cree in old Minnigaff, Newton Stewart. The cottage is tucked away at the bottom of a quiet courtyard and has off road private parking.

The town centre is just a short walk away where you will find 3 supermarkets, cinema, butcher, baker, chemists, cafes, restaurants, hotels, pubs, and shops.

The cottage is all on ground level with patio doors leading to a private riverside terrace. The perfect setting for those long days chilling by the river watching the abundant wildlife of ducks, cormorants, heron, fish and of course, the elusive otter. Alternatively use it to relax after a busy day, walking, cycling, golfing, angling or site seeing.

Dumfries and Galloway has loads to offer including a beautiful coastline with hidden sandy beaches, forest walks and cycling at Kiroughtree Visitors Centre or exotic gardens like Logan Botanic Gardens. Local towns to visit are Castle Douglas – food town, Kirkcudbright – artist’s town and Wigtown – book town. Discover the Isle of Whithorn and the historical St Ninan’s cave or the many local villages including Gatehouse of Fleet, Portpatrick, Garlieston, Port William and many more. Also close by is The Galloway Forest, Scotland’s only Dark Skies Park and Wigtown Bay boasting the largest local nature reserve in Britain.

Whatever you want out a of a holiday, Otter Cottage is perfectly located to make it as active or relaxing as you need it to be.
