The Ship Inn in Gatehouse of Fleet has a really nice restaurant called 1 Fleet Street. To look at this place from the outside you would be forgiven for thinking it was just a local pub serving standard pub grub but surprisingly it is a little more fine dining than you would expect. The interior has recently had an overhaul and has a spacious open plan layout quite airy and modern. The menu varies quite regularly which is really good and they take advantage of local and seasonal produce.
Book if you want to eat at the weekend or during a local occasion or event.
